Hello everyone!

I am the Executive Producer of the SpellCast Podcast Plays.

Podcast plays typically run between 20-40 minutes. Up until now, the plays have all been adaptations of existing fanfic.

I am looking to round up a team of writers who would be interested in collaborating on an eight-part play. Ideally I am looking for people who feel they 'specialize' in specific characters, types of characters, or groups of characters (Death Eaters, Order of the Phoenix, Aurors, Hogwarts Students, etc etc). However, if you are rockin' at plot and characterization in general, I'm also looking for you!

I will ALSO be needing writers to create two stories from The Tales of Beedle the Bard for live plays at two upcoming conventions and possibly a musical.

Today is one of those days where I just feel incredibly spiteful, irritated, and MEAN. You know, one of those days when you wish you could just SAY how you really feel instead of usually holding on tightly to that filter in your brain that stops you from, well, offending or running off everyone ever?

Yeah. It's that kind of day. I'm irked about SO MANY THINGS and sometimes it really is heinous to keep it all to yourself, but if you want to keep the friends you have, well, you learn to be discrete and suck it up.

People always think I'm so nice and kind, which I guess I am most of the time, but sometimes I can be really selfish, petty, and vindictive. :|

And on the subject of this IJ, it's not a full time journal. I don't plan on crossposting most of what I put in my LJ here at this time. I have no plans to permanently move from LJ because I have other fandoms and friends that AREN'T in fandoms there. :/ So I guess...if you are cutting down reading lists on LJ and you have me friended there, the content won't be the same as here. I post over there more frequently and about more things.

Also, we may be starting to cross-post Hogwarts Today over here on hogwartstoday as the RSS feed is borked due to tags, I guess. I'm going to be hashing things out with J later on, so....there may be that.

Back to watching Blackpool before I say things I should keep to myself. :|

In light of all this LJ stuff that's giving me a ginormous headache, I remain INCREDIBLY confused as to what I should do about 1) fics I've already written and posted, and 2) what I should do about fics I write in the future.

If you think I should post/move fics to IJ, should they be locked or unlocked? Keep in mind I am a junior high teacher. :(

I am SO TIRED of reading, thinking about, and doing admin things related to Boldthrough '07 or whatever we're calling this. I just cannot mentally take it anymore. Really. It has completely sapped my joy from fandom, which I had only recently re-gained on account of the OotP film and DH, and I am simply frazzled. I'm still here, I'm still doing admin things and planning things, but to be completely honest my heart is not in it at all. I'm just doing it because, well, fandom is sort of my second job, and I know that's no one's fault but my own. I'm too much of a control freak and guilt-ridden to give any of it up, but lately oh how I wish I could.

In other news, my plagiarised fic is STILL up at FF.net (HERE)!!!!! I have emailed the mods, flagged it for adult content, and hit the button about stolen content. I KNOW other people have done the same as I've gotten some private messages via FF.net. SO WHY IS IT STILL THERE? :( Pit of Voles, I hate you. :(

Something disturbing I just found (and apparently this was announced in March, when I was Mostly Dead from cellulitis, so cut me some slack if you knew this already ;) ): Gerard Butler to Star in Remake of Escape from New York. I...have no words. Well actually, I do. In the form of a letter:

Dear Hollywood Execs:
While I am fully aware that history repeats itself and we're all part of the circle of life, yadda yadda yadda, I am asking you, from the bottom of my heart which may or may not be entombed in Davy Jones' locker, pretty please, with some fuckin' sugar on top, stop with the remakes of classics and cult classics. There is seriously NO NEED.

How about the Psycho remake? One of the most perfect horror movies ever filmed, by HITCHCOCK NO LESS, and you felt the need to remake it?

I could go on, but I think I've made my point.

And gee, I didn't even bring up Butler's, um, interesting turn in the latest Phantom of the Opera film. Oh, wait. I just did. :|

Would it be a good idea for me to archive my fic over here on IJ and keep it unlocked?

I'm just so indecisive. :/

Also, my James/Harry fic I wrote for Reversathon this year that was plagiarised on Pit of Voles is STILL posted there. :/ I want my fic taken down and NOW. Stupid bint. IT's totally obvious she copy-pasted it, too. Just look at all the gibberish from the apostrophes and quotation marks!
